MFT Rainbow bridge card kit Countdown Day- 1

Hello!

Today, we are counting down to the new MFT card kit- Rainbow Bridge on MFT blog. While it is very difficult to make sympathy cards, it is essential to have products in our stash that convey the feeling in best way. This card kit is perfect for such cards.

My favorite product from this kit is hands-down the ‘Through the Clouds’ stencil. I have used ot on most of the cards I made using the kit.

Here is the first card-

I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle panel from white cardstock. Then, I created a square window using a square die.

I used the Rainbow Bridge Die-namics and cut three different coloured cardstocks and put together the bridge. On a white card base, using Through the clouds stencil, I inked the background using MFT Premium dye inks.

Using the panel with window as my guide, I adhered the bridge and the silhouette from Pet Silhouettes Die-namics on the inked background. I finally adhered the panel with frame and stamped two sentiments. The one in smaller font size is from the set called There Are No Goodbyes and the one in larger font is from Rainbow Bridge Goodbyes.

Now for my second card…

When you haveva stencil like Through the Clouds, your cards can come together in minutes! I love the depth that can be created with this gorgeous stencil design!

I started by creating the frame using two rectangle dies from A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. Instead of a sid coloured frame, I used a patterned paper from Pawsome Prints paper pad. I also cut the frame for a sturdy white cardstock to give more support to the patterned frame.

Then, on another piece if white cardstock measuring 4″×5.25″, I created the clouds background, adhered the frame, the die cut and stamped the sentiment from Rainbow Bridge goodbyes and stamped the paw prints from the same set using second generation stamping technique. I love how they look like real paw prints!

Finally, adhered the assembled panels on a white card base.

That finishes my cards for today. Be sure to check tomorrow for my 1 kit- 5 cards post. 🙂

I hope you like the card. Be sure to check MFT blog and also My Favorite Things YouTube channel for more inspiration.
