Mermaids in a box!

Hahaha! I have no mermaids with me, people! 😀 I made a card-in-a-box for the first time and I have all of the sea in it, including mermaids! 🙂

This was a custom order from a sweet lady for her friend to celebrate their decade long friendship. Isn’t that awesome?! I love stories of that kind! So I tried to make it extra special for them.

Since I have used the Neat and Tangled set called ‘Mermazing’ and also as the theme for Little Tangles challenge this month is ‘Watercolor’, I’m submitting this to the challenge. I have watercolored all the images with zig markers and blended them with water.

Also submitting to Paru’s card making challenges. The theme is Anything goes.

Sorry for the not so good pictures! I was in a rush to complete, pack and send it.

Here is how it looks when opened. I forgot to take a picture after adhering the sentiments in this angle. I have another shot below.

I had to stamp, colour and fussy cut a ton of images to complete this one. But I enjoyed all of it.

This is how the front of the closed box looks like…

Here are two more sides of the box…

When I had realised that I hadn’t taken a picture after adhering the sentiments just before packing, I took a couple of quick pictures….

Here are some close up snaps…

Supplies used-

Neat and Tangled ‘Mermazing’ stamp set.

MFT puffy clouds dies

Mama Elephant Landscape trio dies.

MFT ‘just because’ and ‘Kind thanks’ for sentiments.

Zig clean color real brush markers.

Echo park paper ‘Let’s be mermaids’ paper pack.

  4. I've never made one of these cards and always admired people who have. This looks so fantastic and hard to put together. I can just imagine how exciting it would be to get one of these in the mail. Your colouring skills are amazing too, such detail and vibrancy. Its amazing and I'm so very glad you shared it with us at Little Tangles!!
